Can I find new WooCommerce stores for free?

Less easily than Shopify, and here is exactly why. The free methods, and the detection step that none of them does.

Free works less well for WooCommerce than for any other platform, and it is worth understanding why before spending a month on it.

About 2,442 WooCommerce stores launch every day. Free methods will surface a trickle, and the gap is not effort, it is a technical step none of them performs.

The step free methods skip

A Shopify store can often be recognised cheaply. A WooCommerce store is WordPress with a plugin, on any domain, on any hosting. Nothing about the domain tells you it exists. The only way to know is to fetch the site and recognise the software, for every candidate, continuously.

Free sources give you candidates. They do not do detection, and detection is the expensive part.

What free gets you

Certificate transparency logs. Every new SSL certificate is public, and most sites get one near launch. You will be filtering an enormous stream by hand, and you still have to fetch each candidate to find out whether it is WooCommerce at all. Most will not be.

Newly registered domain lists. Public for some extensions. Most new domains never become anything, and those that do take days or weeks, so you are checking repeatedly.

Social and community posts. Founders announce launches and ask for feedback. Real, contactable, and very few.

Technology lookup tools. Will confirm whether a site you already have is WooCommerce. Useless for discovery, since you must supply the domain.

Where free stops

Detection, as above. Volume, because hand filtering produces a trickle. Contact details, which on WooCommerce means digging through a whole website rather than a standard storefront. And consistency, because free sources rate limit and change without warning.

The honest comparison

Free is a reasonable way to test whether an offer works at all. Start there, spend nothing, find out whether anyone replies.

It stops being free the moment it becomes a process. Hours a week of fetching and filtering is not free, it is unpriced.

FisherLeads has a free tier, so you can see confirmed newly launched WooCommerce stores without paying and judge the data rather than the argument.

Whichever route you take, the message still has to arrive. Recievet gives you an authenticated branded address so your first email lands. Last confirmed October 14, 2026.

Can I find new WooCommerce stores for free?

Partly, but less easily than Shopify. Free sources give you candidate domains and none of them performs the detection step that confirms a site is actually running WooCommerce.

Why is free harder for WooCommerce?

WooCommerce is WordPress with a plugin on any domain and any hosting. Nothing about the domain reveals it, so every candidate must be fetched and checked.

Does FisherLeads have a free option?

Yes, a free tier showing confirmed newly launched stores, so you can judge the data before paying.
