3,018 new Shopify stores have gone live so far today, counted as of 13:56 UTC on Monday, October 12, 2026. The day is not over, so this number keeps climbing until midnight UTC.

At the same point yesterday the count stood at 1,119, so today is running ahead of yesterday's pace. A typical full day finishes around 2,871 newly launched Shopify stores.

Today against the last seven days

Today sits at the bottom of this chart, drawn hatched because it is still filling. The seven bars above it are finished days.

Read a part day carefully

A count taken partway through the day is the single easiest number to misread. If you check at breakfast and compare what you see against a finished day, you will conclude that launches have collapsed, when all you have actually measured is the time on the clock.

That is why this page shows yesterday at the same hour next to today. It is the only fair comparison available while a day is still filling up. The honest way to describe the figure above is a running total, not a result.

Why the day matters at all

A new Shopify store is at its most reachable in its first days. The founder is actively building, has budget and ambition, and has not yet been contacted by the dozens of agencies and tools that will eventually find them. A week later the same store has been pitched repeatedly and the window has narrowed.

Watching the day as it fills is only useful if you can act on it the same day. That is the entire argument for working from a live feed rather than a list assembled months ago.

Counts are drawn live from FisherLeads, which confirms every Shopify store is genuinely new and live before counting it. See also how many Shopify stores launched yesterday for the first complete figure, or the daily average.
