How many Shopify stores launched yesterday?

1,612 new Shopify stores launched yesterday, Oct 11. The first complete daily count of brand new Shopify stores, from FisherLeads tracking.

1,612 new Shopify stores launched yesterday, Oct 11. That figure is final. Yesterday is the most recent day that has actually finished, which makes it the first number on this site you can compare against anything else without an asterisk.

Against a typical day of about 2,871 newly launched Shopify stores, yesterday came in 44% below.

Why yesterday is the number to quote

Today's count is always partial, because the day is still running. Last week is an average that smooths out everything interesting. Yesterday sits between the two: complete enough to be real, recent enough to still be worth acting on.

If you are citing a figure for how many brand new Shopify stores appear in a day, yesterday's final count is the one that holds up.

Yesterday against the rest of the week

Yesterday is the highlighted bar. Seeing it beside the days around it is the quickest way to tell an ordinary quiet day from something that actually moved.

One day is not a trend

A single day moves for ordinary reasons. Weekends run lighter than midweek, because most people register a business on a working day. Public holidays dent a country's contribution. None of that means the launch rate has changed.

So treat yesterday as a reading, not a direction. For direction, look at the week: 20,097 new Shopify stores launched Oct 5 to Oct 11, up 2.4% on the week before.

Counts are drawn live from FisherLeads, which watches for brand new websites the moment they appear and confirms each store is genuinely new and live. Figures last confirmed October 11, 2026. See also how many Shopify stores launched this week.
